This week’s prompts are at the bottom. Feel free to seize the prompts, twist them, form them, play with them as you will. All comers are welcome. The words below are just practice for me. I had a lot of fun writing them and, practice makes perfect.
Here’s how to play along, if you are unsure.
Daniel wiped his face and listened to the crunch of gravel beneath the tires of his 1942 DeSoto Deluxe Club Coupe with the thirty-seven tooth vertical grille; and the powered “Air-Foil” lights (“Out of Sight Except at Night”). His night so far was nothing but problems. Not only was he lost, but his left “Air-Foil” light wasn’t opening, making visibility pretty shitty. Even worse, he had fucked things up with Susan, the road was dark, unpaved, and he hadn’t seen any sign of life for at least fifteen miles. He had no idea where he was going to stay tonight.
He should turn around
He should ask for forgiveness
He is such a dick
This week’s prompts (incl. of 28 and 9) are:
- tears in the sandbox
- whimpering and complaining
- it might burn down your house
You can start writing whenever you want, just write, get the words down – and have fun!
A Gent ask for directions – They’ll take away his ‘Man’ card! 😉

I took each one, but they sort of work together: juggling redirection
Father Brown mysteries are fun – when I catch them.

This made me laugh. I can’t help feeling Susan already found someone else, with a less impressive car but not such a dick, lol.
