This week’s prompts are at the bottom. Feel free to seize the prompts, twist them, form them, play with them as you will. All comers are welcome. The words below are just practice for me. I had a lot of fun writing them, and you know what I always say, “Practice makes perfect.”
Here’s how to play along, if you are unsure.
This week’s prompts are:
- burgundy skies
- look the devil in the eye
- all the tears in the world
You can start writing whenever you want, just write, get the words down – and have fun!
Well I am impressed with how you did that. The writing on the postcard. A friend of mine got me interested in postcards. I always carry current postcards stamps with me when I travel, and so I don’t forget where I’ve been – I date them and mail them to myself! There are a few regulars who get them too.
“The Mohegan Indian Tribe was historically based in central southern Connecticut, originally part of the Pequot people. It gradually became independent and served as allies of English colonists in the Pequot War of 1636, which broke the power of the formerly dominant Pequot tribe in the region.”
I wonder has the postal system …improved?

I went with the first thing that came to my mind…Granny’s Dog Hunts, But Don’t Bite*

So this is old now but I have almost finished a story I wrote for prompt #2, except I changed the word “devil” to just the pronoun “him” (I decided to leave the character nameless and title-less), but I will still link, as it was this prompt that got me writing.
