This week’s prompts are at the bottom. Feel free to seize the prompts, twist them, form them, play with them as you will. All comers are welcome. The words below are just practice for me. I had a lot of fun writing them, and you know what I always say, “Practice makes perfect.”
Here’s how to play along, if you are unsure.
Muted colours tending primarily toward grey, nuanced shades, glowing in low-level light
Her hair shone silver.
She wore an off-shoulder dress – heather grey with a dark blue accent thread woven in.
Her pumps matched the thread of blue.
Courtesy of a conspicuous processor implant, her skin and claws changed from time to time as well.
She opened the box on the desk and studied its contents as she pulled on exam gloves.
“This might sting a bit,” she intoned.
This week’s prompts are:
- groomed for success
- cook the books
- cold, cold ground
You can start writing whenever you want, just write, get the words down – and have fun!
From the hair to the pumps to the sting, I was hooked!

Nice bit about the processor implant, which made the claws and skin line that much more fantastic!
